NPS R4 Rumours Abound!

NPS R4 Rumours Abound!

The whole DH race circuit seems preoccupied with one question. No, not the 'State of UK Racing' debate that is raging on the forum right now but 'What is the venue for NPS Round 4...' I turned amateur sleuth to add fuel to the rumours...

Update

Updated 13th August - the word is that the round is definately in Scotland, almost certainlly Fort William and the venue will be announced for real at the Garway riders meeting. If there is a mobile signal from that place, we'll update this page of the site as soon as we get the word!

Rumours abound

The rumours have been around for a while and as soon as someone suggests a course, another venue seems to be suggested. So far I have been ready to drive anywhere from Wales to Scotalnd via North Yorkshire in pursuit of a decent ride. The last word on the NPS website stated that the venue would definitely not be Fort William. However, read the following, just in from David Morgan of NACC and Moutainbikeracing:

NPS 4 will definitely take place, we have a venue BUT are holding on for the possibility of a better one. We expect to be able to announce the location next week.

One source here at Stunts! says that Mountain Ash, my perrenial favourite Dragon course, is the confirmed venue, with the other venue potentially being in Scotland. However, if you read the above statement from David, there is one startling ommision from his previous statements! It DOESN'T discount Fort William!!! Again, our source confirmed that the Scottish round is likely to go ahead so we'll leave you to do the maths. 1+1=...

Rumours only though so keep your eyes on Stunts! and npsdownhill.co.uk for breaking news and remember where you heard it first!

Small Print: Our source cannot be revealed incase he makes a tit of himself by being really wrong. The accuracy of this article is purely down to the information we recieve and in no way allows me to be made a tit of. All information based on gossip, rumour and heresay.
