1  CHILL OUT ROOM / owt or nowt / a new topic on: 6 Oct 13, 22:10
Sorry, I just came though to clear out the tumbleweeds. Maybe in another year someone can post something else to keep the server running?
2  RIDERS LOUNGE / Wharncliffe / Police at station road "entrance" on: 4 Nov 09, 20:38
I know it's a cliche to say "haven't you got more important things to be doing" to members of the constabulary but I had to really bite my tongue this evening. After scrambling round the defences at the end of station road (3-4 layers of metal fence, razor wire, felled trees, steep bank) with my bike and crossing the railway, I came face to face with a policeman who'd been waiting patiently in the dark.

Anyway last time I looked, trespass was a civli offence but the bobby gave me a bit of a lecture and let me on my way, it was all just a bit weird and a severe waste of police resources but maybe they were out to get the guy who keeps cutting the locks.

Oh and if anyone's wondering why I went to such lengths to battle through the obstacles rather than going up the road, it's partly the principle, but mostly because I underestimated just how much metalwork's been put up :-\

6  RIDERS LOUNGE / riding / DH in Spain, recommendations for guided holidays please on: 26 Aug 08, 17:49
Well not necessarily only DH but we're looking to go away over Christmas (it's the only time of year we can close with no-one complaining!) for some riding in Spain where hopefully it will be reasonably warm. Does anyone have any recommendations for who to go with? Looking for good trails, pointing down but don't mind if we have to ride up some stuff too.

thanks

7  MARKETPLACE / for sale / swap as-new Morrisons lunch box and accessories on: 7 Apr 08, 14:42
1 mint condition Morissons lunch box "Klip and Lock" approx capacity 1900ml. Still with original stickers inc. bar code on base and fresh juicy oranges on the side. Genuine "Klip and Lock" action, works as new. Also one used Strawberry & Kiwi spring water bottle, doesn't actually contain any strawberries or kiwi, in fact come to think of it, it probably never did. No receipts as found littering ground near new cheeky trail building in Wharncliffe, but will swap for downhill forks, Wotan, Pike, etc. Contact me for more details, and naughty trailbuilders, please keep littering so I can build a full bike out of it.

thanks

8  CHILL OUT ROOM / owt or nowt / race shelter / gazebo thingy needed this weekend 12th/13th May on: 8 May 07, 16:50
Hi

We're having a stand at the Sherwood pines XC NPS race this weekend and had assumed that it would be easy to hire one of those shelters, not sure of the exact name but they look like this:

Anyway I can't find one anywhere to hire, so does anyone here have one I can hire (for real money) for the weekend? Preferably not too branded-up but beggars can't be choosers.

thanks
