1  MARKETPLACE / for sale / Stomp 125 KLX Pit Bike - NOW SOLD on: 24 Mar 10, 03:02
2009 Stomp KLX 125 Pit bike, bought brand new March 2009 from Welsh Pit Bikes for £600 (UK's leading pit bike specialists - who also carry all spares and parts)
Fast, loud and awesome fun! KLX size is bigger than the CRF style pit bike and is equivalent to say a KX or CR 80 height wise.
Sadly got to let this go now I don't have a van any more to get it places. I've actually only ridden this bike properly 4 times and has since been sat upstairs at my workplace thus is in like new condition with only a few scrapes and one small tear in the top of the seat from another bike resting on it in the back of the van. Bike has been fully checked over and runs perfect with freshly changed oil after it's short run in period. I also fitted some genuine ProTaper high bars (£60) and replaced the stock gear lever with a full length CNC one as well as changing the stock steel bash plate with a better fitting alloy one, Comes with original receipt and all paperwork.

Spec goes......

SR120-C (Lifan) 4 Stroke engine
4 speed all-up gearbox
8.5hp at the rear wheel
22mm carb with double foam filter
Superb durable Innova pattern MX tyres
Improved and revised lightweight brake master cylinders and calipers
Vented lightweight rotors
Stronger revised rear shock with steel bushes
Extended CNC machined USD forks with guards
Mandrill bent big bore 28mm SuperStomp race pipe - sounds ACE!
Pro-taper 'high' minibike bars
Fold-back spring loaded allow levers
Latest 3M-reverse printed durable Stomp graphics
KLX super heavy duty cradle frame with bash plate
Removable rear subframe
Bolt-on engine hangers
Alloy thumper exhaust muffler
All-up transmission (no false neutrals)
Stomp logo CNC machined engine side cases and engraved chain guard
KMC chain
14/12" SDG wheels with steel rims
Revised lightweight tig welded swing arm
Durable fold-back steel footpegs
Full length CNC fold back gear selector
New revised firm seat with Stomp logo

With such little use and great condition in mind I'm after £480 for the bike OR £550 for the bike and a virtually brand new pair of Fox pit bike boots (Comp 5 shorty/UK 9) and a Fox Tracer MX helmet (M) with Spy goggles.
Bike can be viewed etc at the bike shop where I work most days.   Call me on 07595382464 or email dannyparkin@btinternet.com

2  MARKETPLACE / for sale / Mongoose Black Diamond - NOW SOLD on: 11 Mar 10, 16:48
Selling this due to getting something with a little less travel, bike has always rode spot on with no niggles and pedals very well considering it's travel due to the much underrated Freedive system. Size is a 'small' and will suit up to about 5'10" (I'm 5'9" and is spot on).
Bike is in very good condition with sound pivot bearings and no play etc. Usual small paint chips under the downtube and around the driveside chainstay but are covered by a decent chainstay protector.

Spec goes......

Mongoose Black Diamond Freedrive frame with two travel positions (6.75" or 7.75") in Small size (would suit up to 5' 10") All bearings replaced 6 months ago.
Manitou Metal RP shock with Brand new Marzocchi steel spring (350lb).....Serviced 6 months ago.
2010 Rockshox Domain 302 180mm (White with lime graphics)....Literally never been ridden, took straight from my new bike
Hope M4 rear brake with floating 180mm rotor
Hope M4 front brake (dozen rides old!) with floating 203mm rotor
Truvativ Hussefelt cranks with brand new Race Face ISIS b/b
E 13 SRS with E 13 G ring (36t)
Truvativ Hussefelt pedals (not even ridden on!!!!)
Gravity Maxus bars and Holzfeller stem (brand new/uncut)
SRAM X-5 shifter and X-7 medium cage mech with SRAM close ratio cassette...again all brand new from new bike
Front wheel is Mavic 721 on Hope Pro 2
Rear wheel is Mavic 721 on Gusset Dozon 12/150mm bolt through with a lightweight alloy axle
Maxxis High rollers 2.5's Super Tacky...pretty much brand new!
SDG I beam seat and post
Hope seatclamp

Also comes with spare replacable QR dropouts and a set of lower pivot bearings.

Reason for sale is that when I do get chance to get out for a ride now it's generally on my hardtail, thus this bike is just sat idle, plus I just got a new Scott Voltage fr to tickle my bouncy fancy!!

Looking for £650  (no swaps or Px) though might consider splitting if I got a decent offer on the frame/forks

Based in Sheffield/Rotherham

PM me or post here for photos or any questions

or just email dannyparkin@btinternet.com

Thinking of heading over there this coming Friday for a few hours to check out the newly revamped (apparently?) dirt jumps and see if I can find a few fun downhills to have a blast on the hardtail.

Anyone been recently? Any tips of where to head?

8  RIDERS LOUNGE / Wharncliffe / Lost some keys? on: 14 Sep 07, 16:31
Been riding the new bottom section of fast track this afternoon and found a set of what look to be house keys, they were on the floor just next to the steep switchback berms in the bottom woods.

Anyone?

9  RIDERS LOUNGE / riding / New BMX Track in Brampton Bierlow on: 13 Sep 07, 14:35
As per the title really, new track a few weeks old and deffinately worth checking out.
Briefly comprises four straights with some really nice jumps, three big berms (tarmaced), last straight splits into two lines of different size tables. First straight is great fun and rides like trails!

11  CHILL OUT ROOM / owt or nowt / Good local van dealers? on: 9 Jan 07, 00:09

12  CHILL OUT ROOM / owt or nowt / Cwmcarn uplift video on: 23 Jul 06, 17:32
Below is a link to the video I shot at the Gravity Slaves uplift day in Cwmcarn on the 9th July.

I'm afraid the quality had to be sacrificed a little in order to get it uploaded as the limit of file size is 100mb, and the full resolution version is 460mb!
I'm working on getting a better quality version available, but as i go on holiday for a week in the morning i thought i'd post this link up for now.

Hope you like it...... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1EmOO-6V_Y
13  RIDERS LOUNGE / riding / Shore no more! on: 5 Apr 06, 22:54
Bad news i'm afraid....

I paid a visit to Steetley quarry at the end of last week for an afternoons riding and was hoping some of the north shore stuff up in the woods would be left ridable after hearing rumours over the last few months that it had all been destroyed, but a glimmer of hope remained as i entered the woods near the quarry to find that the trails next to the shore stuff had some nice new lips shaped and looking fresh, but upon inspection of the shore (stunts?) I was gutted to see them all trashed......why ?... who knows but the bottom that decided it was good use of his/their time to put an end to everyone else's enjoyment riding there.

Such a shame as they were really starting to come on towards the end of last year and I send a big props out to whoever built them, and I would'nt blame you if you didn't rebuild them as I'm sure it's disheartening. (maybe somewhere else eh† ;))

Anyway on a brighter note the quarry is still real fun and deffo worth checking out wether you've been before or not.† †
