Cos the Northern Champs is cancelled it leaves me and quite a few others with a suddenly free weekend.  It was Phil who first mentioned this, but just a reminder and to see if its still a goer and is anyone else interested.

Just a bit of a sesh at "The local spot" on Sunday, possibly a moto-timer run, followed by a BBQ and some beers by the trails.
Hope I don't get in trouble for publicising this?  But I'm afraid if you don't know where "The local spot" is, I can't reveal its location cos its private land.  Sorry.

Depends on the weather anyway....

possibly a moto-timer run

Can we award ourselves double points?  ;D

Depends on the weather

Pussies.

You just need some moto-foam.  Remember, if you ain't running moto-foam you ain't sh!t.

I'm currently looking into running a race for local people.......... and what we have to do to get it BC sanctioned.

if we all cover the costs between us we should be able to sort it.

I am actually pretty serious......... just looking at costs, and the hoops we have to jump through.

but I'm pretty sure we could get 50-80 people together for a days racing somewhere.

Getting it BC sanctioned and offering ranking points would be nice to offer.

could be a laugh.

That'd be pretty mint. I'd be up for Sunday as well but don't know where it is. I've just heard it talked about in hushed tones...

Have you talked to a farmer at all col ? see if he wants to earn some money extra for using his land ?  I talked with some from Near Mac forest back in Feb and they were up for it but the hills were not big enough...
Love to find out who owns that field that runs from Shatton moor mast to the valley floor :-)

we've got a friendly farmer with a 1.30 track and a 50 second track, on land just near us, so will try to use that.

no uplift, 2 runs on long track - 1 on short one.  combined time of best run on long track, plus short track = your time.  Could be a potential format? See what people fancy.

going to look into it, next week and see what I can sort.

Col can then do the trails again, clipped in, and I will remember to bring a camera this time!
Count me, Liam, Mink, Phatboy and several other people who are yet to be brow beaten into the race this weekend.  Do I need to construct a clay fired BBQ at the trails, am off digging there tonight.

Am still trying to get hold of Mr Roll-back re: points thing

Count me in. Been up tonight for sneaky practice (I need it!).  Its nice and dry even after the last two days rain.  Weather looks reasonable for Sunday.

Didn't you manage to get yesterday afternoon off Jimmy?  Had a good laugh - out at 2.30 got in at about 8pm.

Knackered last night!
