Help wanted

I've fitted a shimano SLX shadow derailleur to a 4x build i'm putting together.

The frame is an Atomlab GI frame and the hanger is part of the frame rather than a replaceable one.

The problem is that as i shift the derailleur to move from small to large cog the derailleur becomes stuck on the underside of the chainstay. and when i shift back it cannot move back through the gears.

I've double checked the derailleur fix to the frame and the derailleur is attached as far clockwise as it will go before it contacts the hanger.

Any suggestons?
Is it a compatability issue, mechancs error or something else and how can i fix it? The bike is fully built aside from this and with my prosperity at a low point switching frames is a no no.

cheers folks

You could try adjusting the b-tension screw at the back of the mech. This will push it further backward and a little lower.

Sorted
B tension screw did the trick. Another one to add to the Dummies guide for bike building knowledge base.

Cheers

No worries. That sounds like a book that needs writing. God knows I've needed it at times.
