Despite my total and utter sense of humour failure last year leading to me refusing to leave my tent and push my bike round another 10 mile lap of unrideable muddy fields......I'm entered again.

Anyone else suffering from momentary delusions that its not going to absoloutely pee down on Glastonbury Weekend?

Yes bro, I'm in.

We've got 2 x 4 man teams and 4 or 5 solo'ers.
I'm on a not very serious team though.  I'll have a crack at the fastest lap, but I'm not really a long distance man.  My team have decided to have at least 5 hours kip too, cos if its not fun I can't be arsed

Last year was my first time and I thought it was piss funny.  I hope the track is somewhere near as good as last years - I was well surprised how rad it was.  I expected it to be laps and laps of a grass field (as the previous year apparently was), but I was totally impressed with the off cambre and slippy mud and roots and flat-out grass hill turns.

I got telled off for making motorbike noises all the way round and got a proper warning off a marshal saying
"Oi! this isn't a BMX race y'know".
That made my day ;)
I was trying to push one of the Pearce guys off and the marshal didn't realise we were having a friendly battle.  The problem came when we both took about 5 riders down

I expected it to be laps and laps of a grass field (as the previous year apparently was),

There was a single tree root about 2" high, followed by a 1' deep gully.  People were getting off, shouldering the bike, then running past it!  FFS...

I just pedalled at it and pulled a (feeble) manual.

The marshalls clapped me and shouted "Good line!"

Good line? Good line? It was basic f-king riding.  The course was a joke and people not being able to ride it was even worse.  I went to bed in disgust! (yeah, check me, that's pretty rebellious!)

I enjoy the feeling of superiority of being able to overtake people on the DHs for once.

Mind you given that a 2" root with a 1' gully is freakin' technical for round here (Luton) I can see why some people have noobs skillzz
