Yeah there were some in on Sunday, 3 pikey kids on minimotos, I think they got in through the gap by the railwayline. They seemed to keep well away from us, but I'm pretty sure I spotted them bombing up fast track by the powerlines when we were in the lower end.

Its not just the mini bikes, there seems to be an influx of full on enduro and scramble bikes at the mo! Noisey as hell too, you would think the coppers would hear them and find them pretty sharpish but they never seem to be around at the right time!

best bet is to inundate the golden line with complaints about bikes, then they send the cops in.
During last XC dig day 2 almost hit a horse on the fire road, again..... the only thing that will stop them is finding a local alternative riding place and opening for legal access.

There were loads last weekend and on the last evening dig day.

Maybe we need to get peaty on the case and get summat going on in his/jacks land.
Not like he doesn't venture off his own land on the motorbike either so I'm sure he'd like a legal play area.

Bloke and what I presume was his son on Saturday on Quad bikes, I was gving him a bit of a look and he was glaring back so he knew what the score was with bikes in them thar woods. He followed us down the entry/exit  shute by the rails and exited via the railway lines by the back of the new houses so I think we have found the route in to the woods that they are using.

The quads are causing so much mess up there lately.
They have started riding through the pond which you pass on the way down the fireroad from the top carpark, and they are also using the open section of the old black xc route as a track too, and to add they are riding it the worng way.
It looks worse every time we head down for a dig day.

I just urge everyone to call the 101 number...feels like being supergrass but the more compaints on that line the more the police take action.
there up at the woods so often one day...they will finally take decicive action as the cost of policing will outway other permenant solutions to the problem.

i was up over wc last tuesday and saturday, both days i heard the sound of bikes
1'st time down at the middle lane end of the top woods and on saturday somewhere toward the top of xc section 3/4
the later could'v been the nearby farmer,i couldn't see anyone (i rode section 4)
also noticed at the top of sec 3 (stone fire place area) 2 branches tied to trees(seats) with a new fire place in the middle,
just thought of giving you a heads up,

JJ..

on tuesday there was a couple (possibly 3)  of mini moto riders basd out of the top car park riding the start of the XC - one seemed to know the trails and was giving instructions to the others, rang local police when i got home as forgot mobile.

Shame the police cant come up with some sort of sollution. My burd was thrown from her horse the other day when it was startled by a motorbike! Thankfully she just sustained bruises and nothing more!!

Did you report it to the 101 numeber Sayntmatt ?  The more complaints to that number the more police will act.

I logged two calls last week - is it still the number on the top of the thread?  All I got was answer phone but I left a message.

I think 101 has replaced it now, the 101 number has an operator on 24 hours and appears to get more direct action.

She was with a group from the riding school (cant remember the name of it) and they reported it to the five-0 there and then but I'm not sure what number they called?
